WAKEFIELD — Permanent Building Committee Working Group approves prior meeting minutes, advances Wakefield Memorial High School design and construction. The group unanimously approved the June 18, 2026 minutes and reviewed a four-week construction schedule tracking interior finishes, millwork installation, and mechanical systems across multiple buildings. On parking infrastructure, SMMA received direction to finalize Lot H plans including a gated Farm Street access and confirmation of EV charger placement; electrical engineer Nick Ferzacca explained that two Level 3 fast chargers save approximately 100,000 dollars against code-required 40-amp receptacles for 10 percent of parking spaces.
The project flagged missing reclaimed fill from the Nahant Street yard and warned a change order may be needed if material cannot be recovered during Phase 2 demolition and construction.
