Commission authorizes conditions for proposed self-storage facility

Wakefield Conservation Commission advanced self-storage facility toward Order of Conditions with town engineer approval.

Conservation Commission · Meeting of September 15, 2026

Wakefield Conservation Commission advanced self-storage facility toward Order of Conditions with town engineer approval. The 22,900-square-foot facility would be constructed within 100 feet of a wetland; commissioners voted to authorize Conservation Agent Ethan Fleming to draft conditions, with one abstaining, after an abutter raised concerns about water quality and building load. The Commission also issued a negative wetland determination for 30 Strathmore Road and authorized an enforcement order at 39 Bartley Street.

Commissioners discussed revisions to a proposed local wetland bylaw with plans to vote on the draft October 6.
