WAKEFIELD — Conservation Commission advances Spring Street residential project with wildlife protections. Acting Chair Eleanor Axelrod led the September 2 meeting, where the Commission unanimously issued an Order of Conditions for Michael Palmer's 81 Spring Street home renovation requiring a six-inch gap at the base of a rear privacy fence to allow wildlife passage and additional plantings. In a separate vote, the Commission unanimously determined a two-car garage project at 23 Montrose Avenue by homeowner Nicholas Decola requires a full Notice of Intent, based on a field measurement showing the structure would be 32 feet from a nearby wetland.

Conservation Agent Ethan Fleming noted the 520-square-foot increase in impervious area warrants standard erosion control conditions.
