Wakefield Conservation Commission approves Quannapowitt Lake deck project with five environmental conditions. The Commission, led by Chair Paul Wendelgass with members Jennifer Fanning and Eleanor Axelrod, voted unanimously to issue an Order of Conditions for a 30-foot by 100-foot deck at 595 North Avenue on property controlled by Eugene Nigro. Special conditions include permanent prohibition on tree removal within 100 feet of shoreline, Dark Sky-compliant lighting, manual-only materials delivery via wheelbarrow, and required removal of existing lawn and gravel areas prior to construction.

The Commission also voted to refer an Open Meeting Law complaint to Town Counsel Tom Mullen for response.
