Wakefield Conservation Commission approves site plans for Butler Avenue and Veterans Field. Chair Paul Wendelgass and members Jennifer Fanning and Eleanor Axelrod unanimously approved a minor modification to plans for 94 Butler Avenue for a four-space gravel parking area with relocated plantings, and unanimously approved a proposed plan change for the Veterans Field project that advances restroom facility construction while parking lot remediation is paused pending funding. The Veterans Field approval includes two partial Certificates of Compliance separating restroom work from future parking lot and bioretention system work, and requires EPA dewatering and remediation permits for contaminated soil.
