Council on Aging elects 2026-27 slate of officers

WAKEFIELD — Council on Aging Board unanimously elects officers for 2026-27 term. Carol Plotkin remains Chair, with Rich Greif as Vice Chair and Sherri Oken as Secretary, in a unanimous vote by the four-member board. Director Karen Burke reported through absent notes that a new Landice rehab-grade treadmill has arrived and third-floor air conditioning installation begins next week.
The board is applying for state Service Incentive Grant funds, plans a bylaws review for June, and has received an application from Edward Cutting for the open board seat, to be appointed by Town Council on May 18.
