WAKEFIELD — Finance Committee IT Subcommittee reviews FY27 budget consolidations and licensing increases. Town CIO Todd Bowden and Town CFO Elizabeth O'Rourke presented the departmental proposal to Stefan Chase, Evan Kenney, and absent member Brian Cusack, highlighting a $103,000 addition for consolidated telephone expenditures covering hard telephone, SIP trucks, and elevator alarms. Microsoft 365 licensing increases were identified as the primary cost driver in materials and supplies.

The subcommittee raised questions about an energy audit on the Public Safety building; Town CIO Bowden said he was not aware of the audit or resulting IT recommendations.
