Wakefield Housing Trust approves prior minutes and receives updates on affordable housing initiatives. The WRAP program is nearing completion with three final applications pending, and the Trust will vote next month on potentially allocating additional funding toward the program. Senior Planner Marissa Meaney reported progress on the Metro North Regional Housing Services Office and a LIP-LAU application for five affordable units at 610 Salem Street filed by Attorney McGrail and Maloney Properties.
A Butler Avenue property has emerged as a potential opportunity to partner with a non-profit such as Habitat for Humanity for affordable housing construction, with a Town Council presentation likely planned for summer.
