WAKEFIELD — Housing Trust approves prior minutes and Q4 ARPA report, welcomes new members. The Trust voted 6-0-0 to approve November 12, 2025 minutes and 6-0-0 to accept the Q4 ARPA Report, with Senior Planner Marissa Meaney noting that remaining federal pandemic relief funds will be exhausted by April 30, 2026. Chair Gail Severt introduced new members Anna Rao and Mark A.
Iafrate, both attorneys with housing sector expertise. The Trust discussed three funding strategies to replace ARPA money: town-wide adoption of the Community Preservation Act, a payment-in-lieu policy for fractional affordable units in inclusionary zoning, and a pilot program for developers building affordable housing. Meaney will contact peer communities and the Metro North Regional Housing Services Office coordinator for additional guidance.
