Human Rights Commission approves contract with poet's representative.

WAKEFIELD — The Human Rights Commission approved a contract for poet Porsha Olayiwola to serve as keynote speaker for the town's Martin Luther King Jr. event. Town Counsel reviewed and edited the contract, which was accepted by the representative before commissioners voted unanimously to approve. Chair Hyon Leon is completing the printed program for distribution.

Ericca Sadler and Leon will announce four Community Service Award nominees and present certificates; award winner Ike Adams will offer remarks. Five student volunteers have committed to ushering, though additional readers are still needed.
