Wakefield Human Rights Commission plans March 14 tie-blanket activity with Girl Scouts. The International Women's Day event, scheduled for 4 to 6 p.m. at Galvin Middle School cafeteria, will feature intergenerational networking, a book exchange, bingo icebreakers, and Girl Scout cookie sales. Chair Hyon Leon reserved the venue; members will purchase fleece and coordinate with Scout leaders.
The commission also confirmed a Saturday morning donation-sorting event at the Americal Civic Center and tasked member Jillian Arcari with securing grant details for a separate Food Truck event.
