WAKEFIELD — Memorial High School working group approves zero-net-cost change orders and reviews construction progress. Chair Joseph B. Bertrand presided as the group reviewed a four-week construction schedule across roofing, interior finishes, electrical, and site work trades.

Bond Building presented PCO-321 for Landrigan Field turf replacement totaling $745,018 but offset entirely by contingency reduction. The project remains on track for substantial completion February 27, 2028, with the original contract value holding at $224,337,256. The working group also finalized site logistics for January 2026 school opening, including temporary bus drop-off on Hemlock Road, police traffic detail, and accessibility accommodations, while approving design details for a new gymnasium court and commemorative plaques honoring The Savings Bank's role in the former high school's performing arts program.
