Nightly I-95 Ramp Closures, Water Main Work Continue This Week
Overnight closures of an I-95 southbound ramp continue through Friday, and crews will replace a water main near Prospect and Emerson streets, according to the town's official News Flash feed, while the library hosts a virtual author talk and Music Bingo tonight.

The town is warning drivers of continued nightly closures of the I-95 southbound ramp to Washington Street, which began Sunday, July 26, and run from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night through Friday, July 31, per the town's News Flash. Separately, crews will replace a water main near the intersection of Prospect and Emerson streets starting Sunday evening, July 26, the town announced. Residents are also reminded that the last day to register to vote or change party affiliation ahead of the September 1, 2026, state primary is August 21.
The Nahant Street Yard Waste Site is open Wednesday, July 29, according to the town calendar.

The Lucius Beebe Memorial Library hosts an author talk today, July 28, at 2 p.m. with Dr. Marisa Franco, a researcher on human connection, in a virtual conversation open to registered attendees. The library follows that at 7 p.m. with Music Bingo, a live game night that swaps traditional bingo numbers for song clips. On Wednesday, July 29, the library offers Drop-in Tech Help from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Lecture Hall, giving residents 15-minute one-on-one appointments for tech questions.
At the Senior Center, Wednesday's activities include Barre Fitness with Joie at 9 a.m. and Pilates with Alice at 11 a.m., though the Zumba and Pilates sessions are listed as currently full. The "Eat Local" lunch event at Main Street Grille scheduled for Wednesday has been canceled.
