Wakefield Permanent Building Committee approves Memorial High School construction invoices and furniture budget. The committee unanimously approved $9,462,575.13 in January 2026 invoices for construction administration and services, led by Chair Joseph B. Bertrand.
The panel also transferred $1,755,402.01 from the Owner's Contingency to the FF&E budget to address inflation and tariff-driven cost increases, bringing the total FF&E budget to $4,255,402.01 after bidding completed in late January. Construction is 57 percent complete as of month-end, with the project's actual expenditures at $156,865,436; the committee approved two zero-dollar internal change orders funded through contingency and holds drawdowns.
