WAKEFIELD — Planning Board backs open space plan letter in routine June meeting. All five members present unanimously approved a letter regarding updates to the town's Open Space and Recreation Plan, which had been outdated since 2024, Conservation Agent Ethan Fleming told the board. Town Planner Marissa Meaney reported that a grant application to the State for a One Stop Program has been submitted, with an expected response in mid-fall.

The board also discussed a request from attorney Brian McGrail to endorse a Mylar plan for the 154 and 158 Salem Street subdivision, though no formal vote on that matter was recorded in the minutes.
