Planning Board elects York as Chair, backs rezoning grant plan.

WAKEFIELD — The Wakefield Planning Board elected Kevin York as Chair and authorized a grant application for a rezoning project called Plan Wakefield. James Hogan and Town Planner Marissa Meaney were tasked with preparing the application to Community One Stop, with the board voting 4-0-1 in favor. Theodore H.
Noell remains Vice Chair, and Bill Spaulding continues as Secretary. The board also received an update on the 2033 Master Plan, which is proceeding on a separate track and is expected to reach draft form by mid-August, with final completion targeted for Christmas.
