Wakefield Retirement Board approves March 2026 cash reconciliation and processes routine enrollments. Chair Daniel W. Sherman and all five members unanimously approved three new Group 1 members and Ralph Brown Jr.'s voluntary superannuation retirement effective June 27, after 29 years 7 months with the Light Department.

The board also approved warrants totaling 1,224,311 dollars 39 cents, including 1,205,184 dollars 68 cents in April contribution payroll, and granted travel approval for Executive Director Cathy Cheek and Vice Chair Sherri Dalton to the MACRS Spring Conference. Board Attorney Michael Sacco flagged House Bill 5386 as a potential risk to the PRIT portfolio during discussion of pending COLA reform legislation.
