Town Council approves corrected FY27 budgets for Public Works and Library.

WAKEFIELD — Town Council approves revised FY27 budgets for Public Works and Library. The council unanimously backed the Department of Public Works budget of $8,355,600.01, with $8,248,600.01 from the tax levy and $107,000 from cemetery lot sales and trust funds, and the Library budget of $2,147,295, with $2,093,217 from the tax levy and $54,078 from the Library Trust Fund. Assistant Town Administrator of Finance Elizabeth Rourke explained the corrections were needed to properly reflect revenue sources.

The adjustments reduce the total tax levy burden by approximately $160,000.
