Butt also guided the Council to unanimous approval of seven FY27 budgets totaling $9.9 million, including the Fire Department at $7,966,688.09—a 1.79 percent increase reflecting a 13.14 percent rise in call volume during 2025.
Insurance Advisor John Spinello recommended removing property coverage on the old high school building, saving $6,200 monthly.
