Wakefield Veteran Advisory Board approves VSO report and Memorial Day ceremony plans. Chair Kevin Yost presided as the board unanimously approved the Veterans Services Officer March 2026 report and confirmed "Fighting for Freedom for 250 Years" as the 2026 Memorial Day ceremony theme. The board announced a Greater Boston Food Bank distribution on March 18 serving 28 veterans and families, a veterans coffee social on March 21 featuring a Home Base presentation, and graveside flagging ceremonies at Lakeside Cemetery on May 18 at 4 pm and Forest Glade Cemetery on May 22 at 4 pm.
Regent Gail Cassarino of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will be the honored guest speaker. The board will hold elections for Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary at the April 14, 2026, meeting.
