Wakefield Veteran Advisory Board unanimously elects new officers for 2026-2027 term. Kevin Yost becomes Chair, Joseph Dellolio Secretary, and Marion Dennehy Vice-Chairperson in a slate approved at the April 14 meeting. The board approved April Veterans Services Officer reports detailing a Greater Boston Food Bank distribution on April 18 serving 32 veterans and families, and a veterans coffee social featuring a presentation by Clifford Coy of the Office of Veterans Advocacy.
Memorial Day 2026 ceremonies are set for May 25 at 1 p.m. on the Upper Common under the theme "Fighting for Freedom for 250 Years," with Regent Gail Cassarino of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution as honored guest speaker, and grave-flagging scheduled for May 18 and May 22 across three cemeteries.
