Wakefield Economic Development Council approves $435K in ARPA spending reports. The Council voted unanimously to approve Q2, Q3, and Q4 2025 quarterly reports documenting American Rescue Plan Act expenditures including $316,299 spent in Q3 on façade and sign programs, with approximately $14,000 remaining uncommitted as of the March meeting. Director of Planning and Community Development Erin Kokinda reported that approximately nine of 14 outstanding façade projects are expected to move forward ahead of a May invoice deadline.
The Council also unanimously rescinded a prior $2,400 allocation for gift cards to Galvin Middle School staff and voted to commission research into a small business education consulting program modeled on an initiative in Lowell. ===BRIEF===
