Wakefield School Committee Sets Four-Meeting Stretch Before Fall Classes

The Wakefield School Committee moves through four public sessions this week, from subcommittee meetings on student services and policy to a full regular open session, as the district works through governance matters ahead of the new school year.

SCHOOLS The Student Services Subcommittee and the Policy and Communications Subcommittee both meet Monday, Aug. 24, according to the town's public meetings calendar. The School Committee follows with its Regular Open Session on Tuesday, Aug. 25, held in person and virtually for residents who cannot attend in person.

COMMUNITY & ARTS Plaza Jazz returns to Beebe Library on Thursday, Sept. 3, at 6 p.m., with acclaimed Boston-born drummer and composer Lee Fish performing on the library plaza, according to the library's events calendar.
