WAKEFIELD — Conservation Commission shapes wetlands bylaw with stricter performance standards. At its March 24 work session, the Commission ruled that vista pruning would not be exempt from permitting and that unpaved pathways would require Commission review. Chair Paul F.
Wendelgass led the meeting with members Jennifer Fanning, Eleanor Axelrod, and Drew Kanouff. Conservation Agent Ethan Fleming was directed to establish a minimum 1.5-to-1 replication ratio for resource area mitigation and to draft a fee schedule. Members Fanning and Axelrod will work on vernal pool performance standards.
The next bylaw meeting is March 31.
