Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of July 15, 2026

Wakefield Zoning Board defers self-storage and residential conversion decisions to August. Chair Thomas J. Lucey ordered Attorney Michael McCarthy to submit final engineering reports, draft conditions, and complete architectural plans for Pack Self-Storage of Wakefield LLC's proposed facility at 50 Quannapowitt Parkway before the August 12 hearing, citing ongoing stormwater review with the Department of Public Works.

The Board also continued hearings on mixed-use conversions at 450-458 Main Street and 27 Water Street, which together would create fifteen residential units with three affordable units required across both projects. In separate action, the Board unanimously approved a Determination and Finding for Wakefield Salem Street LLC to raze and reconstruct a legal non-conforming two-family dwelling on a newly approved subdivision lot, with the relocated use deemed consistent with the existing non-conformity.
