Zoning Board continues three cases, approves two new applications

Wakefield Zoning Board approves credit union rear sign, continues residential and commercial cases. The board unanimously approved a variance for Stoneham Municipal Employees Credit Union at 47 Tuttle Street to install an 11-foot by 2-foot non-illuminated sign on the building's rear, on condition that any phone number be removed (Chair Thomas J. Lucey voting in favor; member Charles L.
Tarbell opposed). The board approved a determination for TNT Franklin Realty LLC at 214 Vernon Street to demolish and reconstruct a two-family dwelling that has been legally grandfathered as nonconforming since the 1950s, finding the new structure will reduce existing nonconformities. The board continued three pending matters: the Costantino accessory structure case to May 27 with decision deadline extended to July 31, the Pack Self-Storage application to May 13 pending DPW Engineering review, and Ali Choucri's residential conversion application to May 13, directing the applicant to resubmit with architectural drawings and proper lot documentation.
