WAKEFIELD — Zoning Board advanced review of a five-story self-storage facility at 50 Quannapowitt Parkway. Architect Christine Walsh presented exterior materials including light stone metal panels, natural ledgestone veneer, and real wood cladding; board members requested larger texture samples and awning fabric images for the March 25 continued hearing. The board also heard a status update on the adjacent 200-400 Quannapowitt Parkway development, where Chair Thomas J.
Lucey and member Charles L. Tarbell discussed requiring performance bonds or phased occupancy of 86 residential units, including 15 affordable units, to ensure completion of remaining landscaping and site work. Town Engineer Bill Renault presented draft stormwater bylaw updates consolidating permits into reviews by the Zoning Board, Planning Board, and Conservation Commission, scheduled for public hearing and town meeting in May.
