Restroom Project Begins At Veterans Field And Hall Park
WAKEFIELD — Crews began work this week on a new restroom facility at Veterans Field and Hall Park, while the town prepares to finish paving Audubon Road this weekend, according to town announcements and a Patch report.

The final course of pavement will be applied to Audubon Road on Saturday, July 25, with work potentially extending to Monday, July 27, if needed, according to the town's News Flash feed. Residents in the area should expect continued construction activity through the weekend.
The town also reminded residents that real estate and personal property tax payments are due August 3, 2026. Payments can be made online, by mail, or in person at Town Hall.
Separately, the town flagged a multistate cyclospora outbreak linked to iceberg lettuce that has affected parts of the Midwest, noting the outbreak has not been connected to any Massachusetts cases.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The Lucius Beebe Memorial Library's Plaza Jazz concert series continued Thursday, July 23, at 6 p.m. with a performance by The Late Risers on the library plaza. The free outdoor series returns weekly through the summer.
The library's Crafty Crochet & Knitting Club meets Friday, July 24, at 11 a.m. in the lecture hall, an in-person weekly gathering for residents interested in knitting, embroidery, and crocheting.
