Sen. Lewis Backs Senate Vote To Boost Beacon Hill Transparency

State Sen. Jason Lewis joined the Massachusetts Senate in passing a measure to expand public access to how decisions get made inside the Legislature and the governor's office, according to Wakefield Patch. Closer to home, the town reminded voters that early in-person voting is open ahead of the September 1 state primary, and the Lucius Beebe Memorial Library closes out its nine-week Revolutionary War speaker series Monday night.

The Town Clerk's office is reminding voters that early in-person voting options are now available ahead of the September 1 state primary, according to the town's website. Residents with questions about registration or polling locations can contact Town Hall directly.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Lucius Beebe Memorial Library caps its nine-week semiquincentennial speaker series tonight at 7 p.m. with presidential doodler Heather Rogers, whose program on lesser-known Revolutionary War figures closes out the summer series. Registration is available through the library.

The library's weekly drop-in tech help returns Wednesday, August 19, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Lecture Hall, offering 15-minute one-on-one appointments for residents with device or software questions.
