Wakefield DPW Schedules Week of Disposal Collection Events

Wakefield's Department of Public Works has lined up a run of collection events over the coming week, capped by a townwide White Goods and TV/CRT Monitor Collection Week that opens Sunday, Aug. 23, giving residents a fresh chance to clear out old electronics and appliances.

TOWN HALL

The DPW's Mercury Collection and the reopening of the Nahant Street Yard Waste Site both fall on Wednesday, Aug. 19, with the yard waste site open again Saturday, Aug. 22. The White Goods and TV/CRT Monitor Collection Week then begins Sunday, Aug. 23, rounding out a stretch of disposal options for households looking to clear out hazardous materials, yard debris and bulky electronics before the end of summer.
